Healthy (but oh so creamy) berry oatmeal

A delicious creamy oatmeal that is super quick to make and so healthy.

This is perfect for breakfast or a great warm comfort for a winter's day.


  • 1/2 cup rolled oats

  • 1/2 cup frozen berries

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence

  • 1 teaspoon stevia powder

  • 1/4 cup milk of your choice

  • 200ml water

  • 2 tsps sunflower seeds


Place oats, berries, cinnamon, vanilla essence,stevia and water in a small saucepan over medium hit. Continue stirring until the oat mixture has soaked up most of the water and you are left with a thick glossy consistency. Add the milk at this point (the milk is added at this stage as it burns quicker over heat). Stir milk in over medium heat until the mixture is nice and creamy. Take your oatmeal off the heat, pour it into a bowl and sprinkle your sunflower seeds on top. Enjoy this low-gi breakfast or snack option!
